How to carry out spark plug maintenance of your Hayabusa?

You must inspect your spark plug once every 6000 kilometers or 400 miles. If you don’t use your hayabusa much then you must inspect the spark plug once every 6 months irrespective of number of kilometers covered by Hayabusa. It will be prudent on your park to change the spark plug once every 7500 miles or 12000 kilometers. If your Hayabusa is idle then you must replace the spark plug once in a year.

To do self maintenance of the spark plug of Suzuki Hayabusa follow the simple procedure

a) First remove the front and the rear seat

b) Now lift the fuel tank and support it.

c) Once you have lifted and supported the fuel tank remove air clean box

d) Now disconnect the lead wire from each plug cap/ignition coil and the camshaft position sensor.

e) Once the ignition coil is disconnected remove it from the Hayabusa

f) With the help of spark plug wrench remove the spark plug.

There are certain points that you should remember when servicing your spark plug

a) Never remove the plug cap/ignition coil before you disconnect all its lead wire couplers

b) Also never drop the plug cap/ignition coil as this open of circuits of the coil.

If you find it difficult to do periodic maintenance then take your Hayabusa to a qualified mechanic.
