Starting from 2002 Malaysia has an official racing championship. The vehicle chosen for this was the Formula Suzuki Hayabusa. The Formula Suzuki Hayabusa will take part each year in seven races. The main reason for these races are the training of pilots. The event is in cooperation between the Suzuki Hayabusa and the malaysian government. Twenty Suzuki Hayabusa were donated by the japanese company as their part in this event. Also Suzuki will give mechanics for all the bikes to be repaired and maintained.

The Formula Suzuki Hayabusa is 4m long, 1.68m wide and 1.1m in height. It also has a 6 speed automatic gearbox. The Formula Suzuki Hayabusa also has ventilated brake disks in the front and normal ones for the back.
